Two of the dome-headed villains of Dr Who fame are going under the auctioneer's hammer at Bonhams in London on May 11.

So are the silver costumes of the Cybermen, the Sea Devils, [[broadwcast:Terror of the Vervoids|Vervoid]] and the [[broadwcast:Paradise Towers|Chief Caretaker]]'s uniform worn by actor Richard Briers.

The BBC denied last night that this was the extermination of the 27-year-old TV series which has been off-screen for two years.

"It will be back in due course," said a drama spokesman. Auctioneer Sir Duncan Chilcott said: "This is a great opportunity to own a favourite monster."
