TWO former Time Lords are galaxies apart on having Jodie Whittaker play the next Doctor Who.<br />

Peter Davison said: "If I feel any doubts, it's the loss of a role model for boys. I feel a bit sad about that."<br />

Colin Baker, 74, hit back: "Sorry, Peter, you're talking rubbish, absolute rubbish.<br />
<br />
"You don't have to be of a gender of someone to be a role model. Can't you be a role model as people?"<br />

Davison, 66 - with Baker at a sci-fi convention in San Diego, California - replied: "Maybe I'm an old-fashioned dinosaur."<br />

Freema Agyeman, who played Martha Jones, hailed the casting and said: "I feel like standing on a rooftop and shouting for joy."<br />
