THE Daleks will do battle with Jodie Whittaker's Time Lord in the New Year's Day special of Doctor Who.<br />

On New Year's Day, viewers will be treated to a new-look fleet of Daleks, who are expected to have ditched the bronze exterior they've worn since 2005.<br />

Giving the Doctor's nemesis another chance to try to exterminate the human race in the TV special is likely to be a crowd-pleaser.<br />

The last time fans saw them take on the Doctor was during Peter Capaldi's second series in 2015.<br />
