DR. WHO is no stranger to adventure But actor Trevor Martin who plays the part on stage has found himself in some ugly scrapes—and they were for real.

For Trevor grew his hair long for the part plays at London's Ade1phi Theatre and had it dyed silvery-white.

And twice since the show opened last week he has been threatened by young hoodlums who thought he was a homosexual because of his strange hairstyle.

On both occasions the trouble happened while he was travelling home by tube from Trafalgar Square to his home at Maida Vale.

"It was very nasty and dangerous," said Trevor. "I was getting tickets for the tube when three yobbos sidled up to me and I could feel there was going to be a punch up.

"They made a lot of unpleasant and threatening remarks and actually started to jostle me.

"I could hardly say 'look chaps I'm Dr. Who' could I? Luckily a policeman just happened to turn up and they ran off."

But the other time Trevor was actually in the tube when some hooligans taunted him about his effeminate locks.

"I made a joke and luckily they laughed and left me alone." said Trevor.

"But this hair-style is very dangerous."
