DOCTOR WHO

BBC One, 7pm

It is bad enough when your computer crashes, you lose your mobile phone or your car won't start. But if you are Doctor Who and your time vortex is damaged, you end up stranded on a parallel Earth where everything is the same only slightly different. On this parallel Earth, the President of the UK is a grumpy old man (Don Warrington). Battersea Power Station is working and Rose Tyler's father is alive and well. The bad news is that the world has grown hard, the homeless are rounded up like stray dogs and the human race is being readied for the ultimate upgrade. Liberty is redefined as freedom from information and the cybermen (above) are back. And you can't phone technical support.
