IN TRUE Time Lord style, the Blackpool Dr Who Appreciation Society has undergone a cosmic personality change...<br />

Celebrations of its first birthday have coincided with a new meeting place, another fun competition and even a change of name. <br />
<br />
Now known as the Blackpool Time-Travellers, the group is planning to boldly go into a new area of science fiction fantasy, not to say split infinitives.<br />
<br />
It has launched a warp-drive to wider its appeal. putting the likes of "Star Trek" and "Blake's 7" on its agenda.<br />
<br />
The steadily growing society will meet in the Strand Restaurant on the Promenade on the first Saturday of each month, starting on Stardate February 7 at what we Earthlings know as 2pm.<br />

Guest speakers have been lined up<br />

The competition is to design a logo for Blackpool Time-Travellers in black and white or colour, and on paper no larger than A4- size.<br />
<br />
Entries, marked logo competition, should be sent to Blackpool Time Travellers, c/o 43 Red Bank Road, Bispham. Winners will be announced in March.<br />
