THIS is ex-Dr Who star Sylvester McCoy in a chilling new role — as one-legged kidnapper Michael Sams.

Sylvester, 53, plays Sams in a TV film telling how the fiend kidnapped Stephanie Slater and kept her in a makeshift coffin for eight days.

Last night Stephanie, 30, revealed she broke down when she saw the film because it brought the terrible memories flooding back.

She said: "When I first watched I thought 'That's how it really was' — it was so spooky."

Stephanie was a consultant on the £2million film Beyond Fear, which helps launch new TV station Channel Five on March 30.

She is played by Gina McKee, from BBC drama Our Friends In The North.

Estate agent Stephanie was snatched by Sams in January 1992 as she was showing him around a house in Birmingham.

He kept her lying down in a converted wheelie bin for eight days at his tool hire workshop in Newark, Notts.

Sams is now serving life for her kidknap and the abduction and murder of Leeds teenager Julie Dart.
